How to choose a business laptop in Morocco
Choosing a business laptop comes down to three questions: what will it be used for, which specifications matter, and who you buy it from. Here is how to decide quickly and well, with real Moroccan market prices.
1. Start from the job, not the spec sheet
Most bad purchases come from a machine that is either too powerful (wasted budget) or too weak (replaced within two years). Start from the actual need:

3. The specifications that actually matter
| Component | The minimum | Recommended (business) |
|---|---|---|
| Storage | 512 GB SSD (never a hard drive) | 512 GB SSD, responsiveness above all |
| Memory (RAM) | 8 GB | 16 GB to last and multitask |
| Processor | Intel Core 5 / recent | Intel Core Ultra for efficiency and AI |
| Operating system | FreeDOS (to be installed) | Windows 11 Pro (security, fleet management) |
| Warranty | 1 year | 2 to 3 years depending on how critical it is |
| Display | 14" Full HD | 14" to 16" depending on mobility vs comfort |
4. Who you buy from: the underrated criterion
At equal specification, the seller makes all the difference for professional use. A machine imported to order from a marketplace means weeks of waiting, no local warranty and no invoice your accountant can use. Stock held in Morocco is the opposite:
- Delivery in 24 to 48h, machine checked before shipping.
- Compliant business invoice (ICE, RC, IF, VAT).
- Manufacturer warranty enforceable locally, up to 3 years.
- A 50% deposit on order, balance on delivery, by bank transfer, or a quote with a purchase order for institutions.
Frequently asked
What budget should I plan for a business laptop in Morocco?
Expect from around 10,000 DH incl. VAT for a reliable office machine, 15,000 to 20,000 DH for a versatile machine with 16 GB of RAM, 25,000 to 40,000 DH for a secured professional EliteBook, and 30,000 DH and up for a workstation with a dedicated graphics card.
Is it better to buy local stock or import from a marketplace?
Local stock is almost always preferable for professional use: delivery in 24 to 48h instead of several weeks, hardware checked before shipping, a warranty enforceable in Morocco, and above all a compliant business invoice (ICE, RC, IF, VAT), which an anonymous online seller cannot provide.
How much RAM and storage should I choose?
8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD are enough for office work. For professional use that lasts, aim for 16 GB: that is what keeps a machine responsive for three to four years. For CAD, 3D or video editing, 16 GB is a minimum and a dedicated graphics card becomes necessary.
Windows 11 Pro or FreeDOS?
FreeDOS lowers the purchase price but means installing an operating system afterwards. For a company, Windows 11 Pro is usually the right call: fleet management, disk encryption and domain join, none of which the Home edition allows.
How do I buy for a public body or a school (tender / purchase order)?
Request a quote: we issue one within 24 working hours, with a purchase order, business invoicing, payment terms and volume pricing for bulk orders, meeting public procurement requirements.
